How to draw up hCG injections.

Step by step instructions for how to prepare your hCG injections once they have been properly mixed.

1. Wash your hands

2. Wipe down the rubber stopper on the top of the bottle with an alcohol swab or cotton soaked with alcohol.

Do not remove the metal ring that holds the stopper in place.

3. Remove a syringe from package to draw up your injection.

4. Pull back plunger and draw back air to the 50 mark on the syringe (50 is the halfway mark on the syringe barrel). Inject this air into the hCG mixture. Leave needle in bottle and invert bottle (turn bottle upside down).

5. Withdraw medication to the 50 mark on the syringe. This amount of medication equals 0.5 ml/cc of hCG medication.

Should you see an air bubble just gently flick the syringe with your finger to force air to the surface of the mixture and slowly expel the air out of the syringe.

Remember to keep the tip of the needle in the medication at all times.

6. After drawing medication into syringe, you may now inject your medication into your preferred site.

7. Dispose of each syringe after its use by placing in a puncture proof container such as a coffee can or a sharps container to return to the clinic for disposal in a bio-waste container.

final+notes

Final notes:

You may draw up all of your injections at one time, or you may choose to only draw up your injection, one at a time, each day when you are taking your normal daily dose. This is your choice.

Do keep the medication in the refrigerator whether you have chosen to draw up all of them or only one at a time.

If your hCG in the last syringe for the week is more or less than the designated 50 mark that’s no problem, as you will have received the full amount of hCG for the week.

Tip 1: Keep syringe at eye level while drawing up your medication

Tip 2: If at any time it becomes difficult to draw up your medication, insert more air into the bottle; this makes it easier.
